The word gumbo may come from the Bantu or it may come from the Choctaw . Whatever the source , in The South, there no doubt what gumbo is about, A mixture of vegetables, maybe okra ,Maybe rice , maybe meat or maybe not. There is little doubt what it is, it’s just that we disagree about what exactly it is .
For this blog gumbo is the bowl of life with a little of this and a little of that and a search for the joys of life wherever they may be found.
